Recently, the editors at FoundRead, which is part of the widely read GigaOm blog network, asked me to expand on my ideas concerning the use of free, or low-cost, services in running a Web-based business.  This article, titled "8 Steps to running your business on (mostly) free apps" was published yesterday.

If you are interested in the ideas behind the best ways to employ free services in your business, I hope you will  take a look at this article.

I am also happy to report that this article has attracted a fair amount of attention within the Web community. Both yesterday and today, it has ranked as the second most popular article on the del.icio.us social bookmarking site under the "Business" tag, with high ranks in related tags such as "entrepreneurship' as well.   It's my experience that popularity on del.icio.us is generally a pretty good indicator what the Web community considers interesting.

There is more to report on Search Free Apps, and I will be posting again soon.
